For years I used a room in my art studio as a chapel. It was small and decorated nicely but I only did a very few weddings there. I discovered there were really nice places in parks that were free to the couple for a small elopement with 2 or 3 people. When I went to talk to my insurance agent I was informed that if people came to my home to be married I would need commercial insurance. So I cannot use the studio as a wedding chapel but I do have several nice public parks near me we can do weddings. Generally weekdays on a very limited basis when available in Pearl River, La we use several small parks or other spots that allow small elopements. If I am available some weekdays my fee runs less then in New Orleans which is 45 miles south, depending on time of day and date. It is located near the intersection of Interstate 59, I-12, and I -10 by a Louisiana Welcome Station on I-59. Easy to reach from Biloxi, MS and the Gulf Coast. An appointment must be made and fee paid in advance. I do weddings for military couples needing to be married quickly at this location. A marriage license obtained a few days in advance. A license office is now open in Slidell in the Towers Building, here is a link to the Clerk of Court so you can call for information: St Tammany Clerk of Court-Marriage License Page Only one party needs to go get a license if they bring the others information. This is a limited small short elopement ceremony in a park near my home when I am available, no travel, or other services. Based only if I am open and booked well in advance. Not a wedding in any other city. If available the fee runs $150. I have a discounted rate for military who need a simple quick wedding, contact me for details. I have done many elopements for Airmen from Keesler Air Base over the years and other soldiers at training centers in Louisiana and Mississippi.
